After weeks of voting, the fans have selected Motorhead legend Lemmy Kilmister as Best Bassist of 2013 in the 3rd Annual Loudwire Music Awards.

Although Lemmy is already a rock god, 2013 furthered Lemmy’s immortality in the metal world. Motorhead released the awesome ‘Aftershock’ in 2013, a hard-hitting and straight-forward record that only Motorhead could put out. Lemmy kept the music coming even after suffering a hematoma and having a defibrillator was implanted in his chest, but he was finally forced to the sidelines after becoming physically unable to perform a full set. However, Lemmy has committed to living a healthier live, making various lifestyle changes and focusing on his return to the stage.

Congrats to Lemmy Kilmister for being voted Best Bassist of 2013 in the Loudwire Music Awards.
