Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis reunite LA Guns and release new album in 2017

Frontiers Music Srl is delighted to welcome the reunion of Tracii Guns And Phil Lewis as L.A. GUNS to the label for the release of a brand new album set for release in the summer of 2017.

After a nearly 15 year break, Philip Lewis and Tracii Guns are back together for another chapter in their partnership that began in 1986, four years after Tracii formed L.A. Guns in 1982.

Their writing partnership spawned classic L.A. GUNS songs such as “Sex Action”, “Never Enough”, “Electric Gypsy”, “The Ballad Of Jayne”, and countless more in an impressive catalog of fan favorites. The last time Lewis and Guns joined forces was back in 2000 with legendary producer Andy Johns for the making of what would become “Waking The Dead” – an album that went on to receive tremendous critical acclaim and proved that their musical partnership was every bit as strong as the early days with all-killer-no-filler songs including “Don’t Look At Me That Way”, “Hellraisers Ball”, and “The Ballad”.

“I think we owe it to our fans who have stuck with us during the many ups and downs of the band’s long and checkered career,” says Lewis. “Tracii and I have written the songs to the soundtrack of many people’s lives, and I think it’s definitely worth investigating to see if the magic is still there.”

As for Guns, he’s been compiling song ideas over the last year and promises this one will be one of the band’s heaviest records, simply stating, “It’s good to be home.”

The band has already confirmed a bunch of UK shows in early 2017 and two shows at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA with more surprises to be announced soon!

Seven – ‘Fight’ official music video

“Fight”, is taken from SEVEN’s new album Shattered, which is released today (September 23rd), by UK label Escape Music Ltd. “Fight” was co-written with well known songwriter Jeff Paris (Mr. Big, Vixen, Y&T, Paul Stanley).

The roots of SEVEN can be traced back to the late ’80s/early ’90s in South Africa, of all places. At the time, Keith McFarlane and the brothers Simon and John LeFevre were in a band called FACE TO FACE, while Mick Devine was drummer in another band, called UC27. After releasing several singles and one album in a period of 18 months, FACE TO FACE split and the brothers LeFevre returned to the U.K. After a few months, they decided to reform the band and Mick was asked to join them in the U.K. as their drummer. It wasn’t before long that the brothers discovered that Mick was actually a better singer than drummer, and so Mick became the band’s lead vocalist. A couple of years later, they were joined by Pat Davey on bass and Austin Lane on drums and the band name was changed to SEVEN.

The AOR scene in the late eighties was a thriving hive of activity. At the turn of the new decade, the likes of Mitch Malloy, Paul Laine, FIREHOUSE, TYKETTO and TALISMAN were all signed up and ready to make an impact on the genre. Everybody wanted an AOR band, and Polydor Records was no exception. Having been fairly successful in the U.K with the likes of MAGNUM and LITTLE ANGELS, the label had set their sights on SEVEN, which at the time was a relatively unknown act from Bournemouth.

SEVEN toured extensively supporting an eclectic variety of acts that included the likes of Jason Donovan, Richard Marx, THE MONKEES and BROTHER BEYOND. It’s a time period that Mick Devine is keen to reminisce about. “Even though they were out and out pop gigs, we loved the crowds and the noise,” he says. “We went from pubs to opening to 3000 screaming fans in Southampton. It is a very addictive adrenaline rush. We got to play all the top venues, which were fantastic — including Wembley Arena, the NEC, BIC, SEC and even the Royal Albert Hall. The Richard Marx tour was definitely the best for us with a more grown up audience we were able to rock it up and truly be ourselves. It went down really well!”

With John Parr as producer, they recorded two very strong singles in the shape of “Inside Love” and “Man With A Vision”, both of which achieved moderate success in the U.K.

In 2014, the original bass player Pat Davey was working alongside Robert Hart on an Escape Music album when the name SEVEN cropped up in the conversation. It would seem that Khalil Turk was a big fan, as Devine explains. “Yeah, back in the day, Khalil had really loved the band and he got in touch to see if we would be interested in finally releasing an album,” he says. Without too much convincing, the project was born.

The production talents of Lars Chriss (the LION’S SHARE guitarist whose repertoire includes albums with Steve Overland, Chris Ousey, LUGNET, NIVA and RADIOACTIVE) were enlisted to produce the band’s debut album, called “7”, which was released to critical acclaim and was held up as one of the “albums of the year” on many lists.

Following the success of the first album, a passion was rekindled within Devine and McFarlane, who began work on new material, and along with the writing talents of Lars Chriss, Fredrik Bergh (BLOODBOUND, ROB MORATTI, STREET TALK), Andy Loos (LION’S SHARE, GLORY, CHRIS OUSEY), Kay Backlund (LION’S SHARE, NIVA) and Jeff Paris (MR. BIG, Y&T, VIXEN, RADIOACTIVE), that passion was given focus and a place to come to life. What they discovered was a well of untapped creativity that had been hidden for far too long and the songs poured out.

SEVEN’s “Shattered” is a collection of wonderfully catchy songs that rely on clean and memorable melodies that allow Devine’s distinctive voice to shine through. It was Devine who took the lead in writing the lyrics on this album, matching the intensity and feel of the music to deliver a modern melodic rock album with influences ranging from hints of FOREIGNER in “A Better Life” and “Broken Dream”, JOURNEY in “High Hopes” and even traces of MAGNUM in “Light Of 1000 Eyes” and “Last Illusion”. The lyrical themes are drawn from a depth of life experience and observations and are heartfelt and real. The production talents of Chriss and the lineup of truly great musicians, deliver an album of depth and variation which ranges from driving guitar-led tracks with memorable riffs to melodic anthems, all backed by stunning keys, bass and standout solos. It is an album that is a worthy follow-up to the critically acclaimed “7”.

Hevidence release debut album ‘Nobody’s Fault’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl announces the release of Hevidence’s debut album, “Nobody’s Fault” on December 2, 2016.

Hevidence is the brainchild of Italian guitar player Diego Reali, founding member of Italian Prog Metal masters DGM. After he left the band in 2006, he started dabbling in some different musical styles, but his heart called for him to get back to metal! Thus Hevidence were born and Diego joined up with DGM bass player Andrea Arcangeli, singer Corrado Quoiani and drummer Emiliano Bonini.

“This band is highly inspired by the classic hard and heavy sounds from the ’70s and ’80s, that’s why we worked hard to make this album sound the most vintage that was possible,” tells Diego. “We are convinced that a huge dose of improvisation during the recording sessions is needed for the success of an original product. Everyone of us has many different musical influences and they came out in a very spontaneous way within the song writing process, we just believe in the word “ROCK”!!!”

Hevidence offer a mature and personal vision of hard rock and metal with a style reminiscent of the classic Official Yngwie Malmsteen albums mixed with power metal and melodic hard rock influences (think early Europe).

An EPK where you can learn more about the band and hear song samples is here:https://youtu.be/TDzEVFY27Yc

The band will be launching the album with a special “Release Party” show in Roma at the JAILBREAK LiveClub on December 1st. For more info:http://www.jailbreakliveclub.it/

Dario Mollo’s Crossbones unleash ‘Rock The Cradle’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of Dario Mollo’s CROSSBONES new album, “Rock the Cradle” on December 2nd.

Best known for his partnerships in the The Cage with Tony Martin (ex-Black Sabbath) and Voodoo Hill with Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion, Deep Purple, California Breed), Italian guitarist Dario Mollo began his career in 1981 with the band CROSSBONES. With them, he released his first studio album in 1989, which was produced by Kit Woolven (Thin Lizzy Official, MAGNUM and UFO, among others) before getting involved in the production side of things himself.

For this new CROSSBONES album, the Italian axeman brought back original drummer, Ezio Secomandi with the line-up completed by his regular collaborator Dario Patti on bass and keyboards. The choice for the singer was Carl Sentance (Nazareth, Don Airey Band, Persian Risk, KROKUSonline), who came at the suggestion of Don Airey of Deep Purple, during a recent visit to Dario’s home.

“I think this record has a strong identity and character,” tells Dario. “It is a mature production and the songs range on many styles of hard rock and classic heavy metal, but every song has a catchy chorus. I also think this album shows how much I liked working with Carl. He is easily one of the best singers I have ever worked with. I am certain our cooperation will not end with this cd!” concludes Dario. The quality of the material presented here is witness to that statement.

“Rock the Cradle” tracklisting:

1. Red

2. Take Me High

3. Navigation

4. Rock The Cradle

5. Gates Of Time

6. I Got This Feeling

7. In My Blood

Eternal Idol release their debut album ‘The Unrevealed Secret’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming release of ETERNAL IDOL’s debut album, entitled “The Unrevealed Secret”, on December 2nd

Eternal Idol is a new band formed in early 2016 and that marks the start of a new musical adventure for Rhapsody Of Fire and Angra singer Fabio Lione, together with the experienced Italian guitar player Nick Savio (exHOLLOW HAZE Official Page) and a line-up completed by the young vocal rising star Giorgia Colleluori, Camillo Colleluori (both also from Hollow Haze) on drums and Andrea Buratto (Secret Sphere, Hell in the Club) on bass.

While all the musicians have solid pedigrees and musical history behind them, ETERNAL IDOL have a brand new and original sound which will certainly catch many fans by surprise. Fabio Lione says, “[a]fter all the experiences with bands such as KAMELOT, Rhapsody of Fire, Angra and many more, I think it is time to show the world a new side of myself with this amazing new band. Musically, ETERNAL IDOL offer an intriguing mix of classic metal, symphonic rock and a few progressive twists which is truly unique, thanks to the combination of female and male vocals.”

Fabio took care of most of the lyrics and vocal melodies, along with three gorgeous tracks he wrote, while Nick Savio worked hard on songwriting and arrangements. “The Unrevealed Secret” is the album where all our ideas came to the light,” says the axeman from Vicenza. “Heavy classic rock with symphonic elements and the magic atmosphere of two lead vocals, male and female, create a contrast between good and bad as the main subject, as it is possible to see on the impressive and mysterious cover artwork.”

The album was recorded in the summer of 2016, produced by Nick Savio and mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Sunstorm) and promises to be one of the melodic metal releases of the year. Fans of Kamelot, Magnus Karlsson’s Free Fall, MasterPlan, and Avantasia should pay attention.

Steve Harris Takes British Lion Back On The Road In July

Steve Harris Tour Poster

Steve Harris will be taking his solo/side project British Lion back out on the road briefly this year with a 10 date European tour starting on July 8th  in Norwich and rounding off with an open-air show at the annual International Motorcycle Convention at the Moto Clube De Faro, Portugal on Saturday July 19th (full list of dates below). Tickets go on sale Monday April 7th at 10.00 am (11am local time ex-UK).

Comments Steve,   “As most fans know, I have strong ties with the Portuguese Moto Clube through our mutual friend Manu DaSilva, now sadly departed, who for many years ran Maiden’s Eddie’s Bar in Santa Barbara de Nexe near Faro. In fact the first ever British Lion live show we played was in the Clubhouse itself! When they invited us back this year, to play at the same festival Maiden headlined in 2011 in memory of Manu, it provided the perfect opportunity to schedule a few shows beforehand on our way down to Faro from the UK. We’re playing clubs again, same as we did last year, as we all really love the vibe and intimacy of getting up close and personal with the crowd. Although we would have liked to have visited more cities and countries on this run, it simply hasn’t been possible time-wise. This is for a number of reasons, probably of interest to Maiden fans!”

British Lion is Steve’s debut CD outside Iron Maiden. Featured alongside Steve on bass are Richard Taylor on vocals, David Hawkins on guitar and keys, Grahame Leslie on guitar, and Simon Dawson on drums. The album was mixed by Kevin Shirley [Maiden’s longstanding producer] and was released through EMI in September 2012.

JULY 2014 BRITISH LION TOUR DATES:

08    Waterfront, Norwich                                UK

09    Concorde 2, Brighton                              UK

10    Quarterhouse, Folkestone                       UK

12    De Pul, Uden                                            Netherlands

14    Divan Du Monde, Paris                             France

Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris Rolls Up With Chas Hodges For ‘Any Old Iron’ Album

iron maiden

MetalTalk can this morning exclusively reveal that Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris is teaming up with Chas Hodges of Cockney duo Chas N’ Dave for an eponymous album called ‘Any Old Iron’ which will be released in the late summer.

The music is very much in Chas N’ Dave’s unique musical style labelled “Rockney”, which mixes pub singalong, music-hall humour, boogie-woogie piano and pre-Beatles rock n’ roll.

This surprising move came about due to a lifelong friendship between the two parties. Steve became a fan of UK band The Outlaws, who achieved some success in the 60s. The Outlaws featured Chas on piano, Ritchie Blackmore on guitar and Mick Underwood on drums who was later to become beatkeeper for Gillan. Current Iron Maiden guitarist Janick Gers was a prominent member of the Gillan band after he replaced Bernie Torme.

The ‘Any Old Iron’ project first came about when Chas N’ Dave bass player Dave Peacock returned to the band in 2011 after retiring in 2009. While Dave was in retirement, Steve Harris helped his old mucker Chas out by filling in at a few low key club gigs in the London area.

The pair discussed making an album one day and now this exciting project has finally come to fruition.

Steve Harris told MetalTalk: “A lot of people have said that my ‘British Lion’ solo album was in a similar style to Maiden so when Chas rang me up and encouraged me to get going on our album, I was all for it. It brought me back to me East End roots.

“We did a couple of club gigs which were great fun and fortunately there were no Maiden fans there so I wasn’t recognised. The locals just thought I was some long haired ‘erbert.

“We went down to Margate to see Chris Tsangarides who has a studio nearby and we recorded it in one week. It was a lot of fun and a totally different experience to making an album with Maiden.”

And MetalTalk can exclusively reveal the tracklisting for ‘Any Old Iron’.

1. Barking Mad Five
2. Jellied Eel Roll
3. I’ll Sleep When I’m Brown Bread
4. Move Yer Bleedin’ ‘Arris
5. The Italian Job
6. Hampton Wick To Hampstead Heath
7. Rock N’ Roll
8. Radio Rental
9. Cream Crackered And Cheesed Off
10. You’re Just A Paper Hat
11. Hurry Up Harry (Sham 69 cover)

Bonus track for deluxe editions:
12. Flight Of Dickarus

Steve Harris has exclusively given us the lowdown on some of the tracks: “‘Barking Mad Five’ – when I used to go out in Barking in the early days, me and my mates would get up to mischief in the boozers and we got labelled the Barking Mad Five. ‘Jellied Eel Roll’ is the first song that Chas came up with and it’s a great swinging boogie-woogie number.

“‘The Italian Job’ came about when we were first in the studio and I had my amp turned right up and it almost made Chas Mutt and Jeff and he kept quoting the famous line from the Michael Caine film: ‘You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off’.

“‘Hampton Wick To Hampstead Heath’ is a story that the Maiden road crew can relate to and I will say no more than that.

“‘Rock N’ Roll’ is not the Zeppelin song but is actually all about my mate who is constantly skint and ‘Hurry Up Harry’ came about after one recording session when I was packing up my gear and Chas was bursting to get down the pub and he started plonking away the old Sham 69 song on the old Joanna and it sounded great so we kept it.

“The bonus track ‘Flight Of Dickarus’ – well I’m a bit of a shy guy and it’s just me letting off a bit of steam in a tongue in cheek kind of way.”

Steve added: “We will be doing some surprise ‘pop-up gigs’ once the current Maiden England tour ends at Sonisphere on 5th July.

Coincidentally, Chas N’ Dave are also playing Sonisphere that weekend.

Chas N’ Dave last played at the Knebworth stately home 35-years-ago, when they opened for Led Zeppelin.

Chas told us: “We went down well at Knebworth in 79. Not surprised we got a return booking.”

Hottest Rockstar Daughters

It may be strange for fans of classic rock to realize this, but the baby girls of your rock gods are no longer children. They are now fully grown, self-sufficient women, and many have germinated into beautiful, elegant girls. Actually let’s be blunt — a lot of rock star daughters are just plain hot. In truth, very hot.

From Alice Cooper to Gene Simmons to David Lee Roth, the female offspring of our favorite rockers are all making their own paths in life, most very successfully. You’ll find fashion designers, actresses, singers, philanthropists (and yes, one porn star) on our list of the hottest rock star daughters. Enjoy!

INDIA WATERS

India Waters

Her father Roger Waters may be famous worldwide for his tenure in Pink Floyd and his solo career, but India Waters is definitely forging her own path. This lovely young daughter has had a rather successful run as a model in recent years.

Waters has provided an interesting look for album covers from Green Nuns of the Revolution and Queens of the Stone Age in recent years. She’s also modeled for DeBeers, Amica magazine, Bare magazine, Frost French, Monsoon, and Vogue.

But what about music? Water got a taste of her father’s life as a young girl when she lent her voice for usage on his 1987 album, ‘Radio K.A.O.S,’ but, so far, she’s not been anxious to follow in his musical path.

LAUREN HARRIS

Lauren Harris
Gareth Cattermole, Getty Images

Lauren Harris is quite stunning, but don’t let that make you forget this girl can seriously rock. Harris, the daughter of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris, decided to follow in dear old dad’s footsteps and has been establishing herself in the music industry over the last few years.

The vocalist got a giant boost to start her career, as she opened for Iron Maiden during their late 2006 and early 2007. But it didn’t take Lauren long to tire of the solo life, and she set about putting together a band.

Harris obviously has an eye for talent, as one of her initial musical partners was a talented guitarist named Richie Faulkner. However, it didn’t take long for Faulkner’s talent to shine through, and he was snapped up by Judas Priest to take over for K.K. Downing.

Despite the loss of Faulkner, Harris forged ahead and formed the group Six Hour Sundown with holdover drummer Olly Smith and new members guitarists Tom Gentry and James Bennett and bassist Mitch Witham. In 2013 she formed another new project, Kingdom of I, with help from songwriter Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics.

MINKA KELLY

Most people don’t even know that the ultra-hot Minka Kelly is the daughter of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay. They’re more familiar with her acting roles on ‘Charlie’s Angels’ or ‘Friday Night Lights.’

Are we missing anything? Oh right… and she’s known for dating Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees. Wonder if she got a gift basket.

As with so many gorgeous actresses, Minka started as a model. But it wasn’t easy from the get go. She worked as a receptionist and a scrub tech while going on auditions. Fast forward to now, with Minka Kelly one of the hottest women on the planet. Kinda doubtful she’ll have a 9-5 job again, huh?

We figured we might as well put perhaps the most famous rockstar daughter on our list. So here’s Liv Tyler, daughter of Aerosmith‘s own Steven Tyler (though she was unaware of it until the age of 8), a flawlessly gorgeous and well-established actress.

She’s not eye candy, thrown a role or two because of her famous dad. No, she’s the type that stars in big films that go on to become franchises, including Lord of the Rings ( parts 1, 2 AND 3), Armageddon, and even the Incredible Hulk.

Is it just the Tyler genes? Who knows, but she’s not the only Tyler daughter here on our list.

ELIZABETH JAGGER

Are you surprised that Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger would have had such amazing kids?

Elizabeth Scarlett Jagger — at the young age of 28 — is an uber-successful model, working for Tommy Hilfiger and representing the Spanish fashion line Mango. It shouldn’t be a total surprise that this girl is gorgeous. Her mother is the former hottie, model and actress Jerry Hall. Yeah, now you get it.

Prepare yourself to see more Jagger’s on our list because Elizabeth isn’t the only hot offspring of his you’ll meet on this list.

CALICO COOPER

For fans, rocker Alice Cooper is not only a musician but someone who throws elaborate stage shows filled with shocking scenes equal to a horror movie.

It wouldn’t be atypical to experience a concert containing guillotines, electric chairs, blood (fake obviously) and yes, that famed boa constrictor.

Seeing Alice Cooper was a theatrical show. But for now 31-year-old Calico Cooper — that was daddy at work.

Perhaps Cooper inspired her, because this hot rockstar daughter decided to start performing in her father’s show in 2000.

Who wouldn’t want to get up there and experience the terrifying and sometimes disturbing experience of seeing Cooper in action?

Like father like daughter.

ERIN LUCAS

AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams must realize he’s paying back some sort of karmic debt, as he now must try to protect his own offspring from exactly the kind of mayhem his band often sings about.

The reason being that his daughter, Erin Lucas, is ever so dangerously pretty.

And if you’re wondering where you’ve see this rockstar daughter before, we can surmise just what kind of television you watch. We’re not judging!

Sure enough, the younger Lucas had made big waves by starring on the MTV reality show ‘The City’.

Currently, she hosts ‘Sex & Relationships,’ which airs on CurrentTV.

AVY LEE ROTH

We promised there’d be a porn star somewhere on our list of the hottest rockstar daughters –  meet Avy Lee Roth, the reported child of the one and only “Diamond” David Lee Roth of Van Halen fame.

Apparently, the famous singer is pretty hush-hush about whether or not the two are related, but according to Avy, she’s without a doubt the singer’s daughter. Do they have the same looks? It’s hard to tell. But the undeniable truth is when this hottie was conceived Roth was with a plentiful amount of beautiful women. So maybe the odds are in Avy’s favor.

And while we’re told Avy isn’t in the business anymore, her father just won’t stop rocking, having recently released his first album with Van Halen in 28 years.

CHELSEA TYLER

On his long and sometimes treacherous pat down the road of rock, somehow Aerosmith‘s Steven Tyler was able to stop and have some really gorgeous kids.

23-year-old Chelsea Tyler is the second of Tyler’s kids to appear on our list. Two daughters. Both hot. Well done, sir!

Like so many rockstar daughters before her, once the media and modeling agencies were able to see that she kept only the best part of her father’s looks, Tyler was offered an array of jobs.

She served as the model for the Andrew Charles collection of clothing along with her father, who happened to be the inspiration for the line.

As for the Aerosmith frontman, he recently left the FOX megahit ‘American Idol’ and went back to tour with the band that made him famous.

LILY COLLINS

Lily Collins — the hot daughter of Genesis drummer Phil Collins — is building a career for herself at the young age of 23, one that seems certain to allow her to escape the shadows of her father’s success.

The young actress/model has appeared on the small screen and silver screen, with roles in ’90210,’ ‘The Blind Side,’ and most recently as the star of ‘Mirror Mirror,’ alongside Julia Roberts.

The latter awarded her a 2012 Teen Choice Award.

Daddy Collins is mostly retired from rock music, but surely the legendary musician must be extremely proud at the strides his young offspring has made.

THEODORA RICHARDS

Yep, another Rolling Stones daughter makes our list for being insanely hot. And yes, somehow it’s another birth child of Keith Richards.

It seems that while these guys not only know how to rock the stage, they’re pretty good at picking women with which to have beautiful children.

Born to model/actress Patti Hansen and the Stones guitarist, Theodora Richards is now 27-years-old and gaining attention in more ways than one.

Back in 2006, she was asked to model for Tommy Hilfiger and has since graced the pages of magazines, clothing lines and even newspapers.

And while all that is exciting in and of itself, it was her recent 2011 bust that showed us she’s got a little bit of rock star running through her veins. She was arrested in New York for inking a nunnery with graffiti while holding marijuana. There’s Keith Richards’ spirit, eh?

SOPHIE SIMMONS

The Demon of Kiss may not be happy to hear us point this out, but his daughter is incredibly hot.

Spurred largely by the success of ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels,’ Sophie Simmons has been desired more than ever by fans all across the world.

With a rock star father and a former Playboy Playmate mother, it was hard to know if more of the beauty or the beast would emerge within Sophie. Gladly, worries were laid aside when she started growing up.

The Simmons’ daughter is also a true humanitarian, working hard to promote a number of charities on the popular television show and in her home life.

And while the family just finished the last season of ‘Family Jewels,’ Papa Simmons spent the summer of 2012 on the road, proving that rock just doesn’t die.

GEORGIA MAY JAGGER

Again with the good looking Mick Jagger offspring! Well, we shouldn’t be surprised, seeing as how the Rolling Stones singer has paired up with some of the world’s most beautiful women over the years.

Such is true of his daughter, Georgia May Jagger, whose mother is model and actress Jerry Hall.

The 20-year-old is the youngest female child of the once-upon-a-time twosome — falling in line as number five of seven kids for Jagger, spread throughout four different women.

Georgia Jagger, while still young, has already turned heads in the fashion crowd — grabbing the attention of numerous publications and conducting a spread of self portraits for I-D Magazine.

As for her parents? Jerry Hall is dating an Austrailian millionaire, and Mick Jagger is celebrating the Rolling Stones’ 50th anniversary.

KELLY OSBOURNE

Let’s just be forthright and say Kelly Osbourne is incredibly hot.

Struggling with weight is never easy. And in her case, not only was it difficult; it was also public. But sure enough, Osbourne broke through and is consistently making headlines for her dedications to her diet and total transformation.

Now, at the still-young-age of 27, the daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne has left behind the old days and gone into the business of fashion design. She’s also become a correspondent for comedienne Joan Rivers’ E! television show, ‘Fashion Police.’

And what about her parents? Well, they’re doing okay. Ozzy is still doing his part as the Prince of Darkness — reuniting with most of Black Sabbath — and Sharon continues making hilarious remarks on NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent.’

All in all, the Osbournes have it pretty good.

NORAH JONES

Norah Jones

Perhaps our most famous rockstar daughter is Norah Jones, daughter of Beatles collaborator Ravi Shankar. If you didn’t know this, it’s because her full name is Geetali Norah Jones Shankar.

Jones launched her solo music career in 2002 with her acclaimed album ‘Come Away With Me.’

Over the course of her career, Jones has been nominated for 16 Grammy Awards. She won a total of 9, including: Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2003; Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, Record of the Year, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2004 and Album of the Year again in 2008. She also has 1 Brit Award and 4 World Music Awards.

In addition to all of this, Jones starred as herself in the 2002 Hugh Grant film ‘Two Weeks Notice.’

ALEXA RAY JOEL

Alexa Ray Joel

Hard to believe, but this patriotic lady is the daughter of the piano man himself, Billy Joel.

Alexa Ray Joel is the only child of Joel and his former model wife Christie Brinkley, which would certainly explain her good looks. The couple divorced in 1994.

But her looks aren’t the only thing she got from her parents. Alexa also has her father’s musical talents and is a singer, songwriter and piano player.

The song ‘Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)’ is inspired by Alexa Ray, whose middle name is a tribute to the late Ray Charles. Her father also has a boat named after her, which in turn inspired the song ‘The Downeaster Alexa.’

In addition to her various musical skills, Alexa is also big in the New York fashion scene, often being photographed at various runway shows.

15 Years Ago: Iron Maiden Welcomes Back Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith

The heavy metal community was virtually celebrating in the streets on Feb. 10, 1999 when it learned that British legends Iron Maiden would be welcoming fan-favored vocalist Bruce Dickinson back into the fold after a six-year absence (and guitarist Adrian Smith after a decade).

After all, as anyone who was there can tell you, the ’90s were not particularly kind to Iron Maiden, nor, for that matter, any of their ‘80s-dominating metal brethren, due to the grunge revolution. And that’s before we even consider take Dickinson’s successor, Blaze Bailey, into account.

Top 10 Iron Maiden ‘Bruce is Back’ Songs: 1999-Present

Both studio albums released during the band’s half-decade association with the likeable but charisma-deficient former Wolfsbane singer – 1995’s ‘The X Factor’ and ‘98’s ‘Virtual XI’ — had fared none too well on the charts and saw Maiden relegated to playing small theaters in America for the first time in forever.

So drastic measures were clearly required to salvage their career, and, since Dickinson himself had only experienced modest solo success during his “lost weekend,” his reconciliation with Maiden’s stalwart bassist, Steve Harris, was all but inevitable.

Even better, though, was the news of Smith’s invitation to the party, since his songwriting skills had often provided a crucial foil to Harris’ and Dickinson’s, and because it meant that Iron Maiden’s “classic” lineup — completed by guitarist Dave Murray and drummer Nicko McBrain – was to be revived in all its glory — plus Janick Gers, for a fearsome three-guitar frontline.

The ensuing reunion tour found Maiden instantly catapulted right back to the very top of the heavy metal heap, commanding sold-out arenas filled with grateful fans across the globe — even before a single new note was committed to tape for the band’s hotly anticipated comeback album, ‘Brave New World,’ which arrived in May 2000, and did not disappoint.

In fact, ‘Brave New World’ was an almost unchallenged commercial and critical triumph, which served to reinvigorate the Iron Maiden juggernaut and return it to its rightful place at the leading edge of heavy metal as the new millennium began to unfold.
