Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis reunite LA Guns and release new album in 2017

Frontiers Music Srl is delighted to welcome the reunion of Tracii Guns And Phil Lewis as L.A. GUNS to the label for the release of a brand new album set for release in the summer of 2017.

After a nearly 15 year break, Philip Lewis and Tracii Guns are back together for another chapter in their partnership that began in 1986, four years after Tracii formed L.A. Guns in 1982.

Their writing partnership spawned classic L.A. GUNS songs such as “Sex Action”, “Never Enough”, “Electric Gypsy”, “The Ballad Of Jayne”, and countless more in an impressive catalog of fan favorites. The last time Lewis and Guns joined forces was back in 2000 with legendary producer Andy Johns for the making of what would become “Waking The Dead” – an album that went on to receive tremendous critical acclaim and proved that their musical partnership was every bit as strong as the early days with all-killer-no-filler songs including “Don’t Look At Me That Way”, “Hellraisers Ball”, and “The Ballad”.

“I think we owe it to our fans who have stuck with us during the many ups and downs of the band’s long and checkered career,” says Lewis. “Tracii and I have written the songs to the soundtrack of many people’s lives, and I think it’s definitely worth investigating to see if the magic is still there.”

As for Guns, he’s been compiling song ideas over the last year and promises this one will be one of the band’s heaviest records, simply stating, “It’s good to be home.”

The band has already confirmed a bunch of UK shows in early 2017 and two shows at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA with more surprises to be announced soon!

Seven – ‘Fight’ official music video

“Fight”, is taken from SEVEN’s new album Shattered, which is released today (September 23rd), by UK label Escape Music Ltd. “Fight” was co-written with well known songwriter Jeff Paris (Mr. Big, Vixen, Y&T, Paul Stanley).

The roots of SEVEN can be traced back to the late ’80s/early ’90s in South Africa, of all places. At the time, Keith McFarlane and the brothers Simon and John LeFevre were in a band called FACE TO FACE, while Mick Devine was drummer in another band, called UC27. After releasing several singles and one album in a period of 18 months, FACE TO FACE split and the brothers LeFevre returned to the U.K. After a few months, they decided to reform the band and Mick was asked to join them in the U.K. as their drummer. It wasn’t before long that the brothers discovered that Mick was actually a better singer than drummer, and so Mick became the band’s lead vocalist. A couple of years later, they were joined by Pat Davey on bass and Austin Lane on drums and the band name was changed to SEVEN.

The AOR scene in the late eighties was a thriving hive of activity. At the turn of the new decade, the likes of Mitch Malloy, Paul Laine, FIREHOUSE, TYKETTO and TALISMAN were all signed up and ready to make an impact on the genre. Everybody wanted an AOR band, and Polydor Records was no exception. Having been fairly successful in the U.K with the likes of MAGNUM and LITTLE ANGELS, the label had set their sights on SEVEN, which at the time was a relatively unknown act from Bournemouth.

SEVEN toured extensively supporting an eclectic variety of acts that included the likes of Jason Donovan, Richard Marx, THE MONKEES and BROTHER BEYOND. It’s a time period that Mick Devine is keen to reminisce about. “Even though they were out and out pop gigs, we loved the crowds and the noise,” he says. “We went from pubs to opening to 3000 screaming fans in Southampton. It is a very addictive adrenaline rush. We got to play all the top venues, which were fantastic — including Wembley Arena, the NEC, BIC, SEC and even the Royal Albert Hall. The Richard Marx tour was definitely the best for us with a more grown up audience we were able to rock it up and truly be ourselves. It went down really well!”

With John Parr as producer, they recorded two very strong singles in the shape of “Inside Love” and “Man With A Vision”, both of which achieved moderate success in the U.K.

In 2014, the original bass player Pat Davey was working alongside Robert Hart on an Escape Music album when the name SEVEN cropped up in the conversation. It would seem that Khalil Turk was a big fan, as Devine explains. “Yeah, back in the day, Khalil had really loved the band and he got in touch to see if we would be interested in finally releasing an album,” he says. Without too much convincing, the project was born.

The production talents of Lars Chriss (the LION’S SHARE guitarist whose repertoire includes albums with Steve Overland, Chris Ousey, LUGNET, NIVA and RADIOACTIVE) were enlisted to produce the band’s debut album, called “7”, which was released to critical acclaim and was held up as one of the “albums of the year” on many lists.

Following the success of the first album, a passion was rekindled within Devine and McFarlane, who began work on new material, and along with the writing talents of Lars Chriss, Fredrik Bergh (BLOODBOUND, ROB MORATTI, STREET TALK), Andy Loos (LION’S SHARE, GLORY, CHRIS OUSEY), Kay Backlund (LION’S SHARE, NIVA) and Jeff Paris (MR. BIG, Y&T, VIXEN, RADIOACTIVE), that passion was given focus and a place to come to life. What they discovered was a well of untapped creativity that had been hidden for far too long and the songs poured out.

SEVEN’s “Shattered” is a collection of wonderfully catchy songs that rely on clean and memorable melodies that allow Devine’s distinctive voice to shine through. It was Devine who took the lead in writing the lyrics on this album, matching the intensity and feel of the music to deliver a modern melodic rock album with influences ranging from hints of FOREIGNER in “A Better Life” and “Broken Dream”, JOURNEY in “High Hopes” and even traces of MAGNUM in “Light Of 1000 Eyes” and “Last Illusion”. The lyrical themes are drawn from a depth of life experience and observations and are heartfelt and real. The production talents of Chriss and the lineup of truly great musicians, deliver an album of depth and variation which ranges from driving guitar-led tracks with memorable riffs to melodic anthems, all backed by stunning keys, bass and standout solos. It is an album that is a worthy follow-up to the critically acclaimed “7”.

Hevidence release debut album ‘Nobody’s Fault’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl announces the release of Hevidence’s debut album, “Nobody’s Fault” on December 2, 2016.

Hevidence is the brainchild of Italian guitar player Diego Reali, founding member of Italian Prog Metal masters DGM. After he left the band in 2006, he started dabbling in some different musical styles, but his heart called for him to get back to metal! Thus Hevidence were born and Diego joined up with DGM bass player Andrea Arcangeli, singer Corrado Quoiani and drummer Emiliano Bonini.

“This band is highly inspired by the classic hard and heavy sounds from the ’70s and ’80s, that’s why we worked hard to make this album sound the most vintage that was possible,” tells Diego. “We are convinced that a huge dose of improvisation during the recording sessions is needed for the success of an original product. Everyone of us has many different musical influences and they came out in a very spontaneous way within the song writing process, we just believe in the word “ROCK”!!!”

Hevidence offer a mature and personal vision of hard rock and metal with a style reminiscent of the classic Official Yngwie Malmsteen albums mixed with power metal and melodic hard rock influences (think early Europe).

An EPK where you can learn more about the band and hear song samples is here:https://youtu.be/TDzEVFY27Yc

The band will be launching the album with a special “Release Party” show in Roma at the JAILBREAK LiveClub on December 1st. For more info:http://www.jailbreakliveclub.it/

Dario Mollo’s Crossbones unleash ‘Rock The Cradle’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of Dario Mollo’s CROSSBONES new album, “Rock the Cradle” on December 2nd.

Best known for his partnerships in the The Cage with Tony Martin (ex-Black Sabbath) and Voodoo Hill with Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion, Deep Purple, California Breed), Italian guitarist Dario Mollo began his career in 1981 with the band CROSSBONES. With them, he released his first studio album in 1989, which was produced by Kit Woolven (Thin Lizzy Official, MAGNUM and UFO, among others) before getting involved in the production side of things himself.

For this new CROSSBONES album, the Italian axeman brought back original drummer, Ezio Secomandi with the line-up completed by his regular collaborator Dario Patti on bass and keyboards. The choice for the singer was Carl Sentance (Nazareth, Don Airey Band, Persian Risk, KROKUSonline), who came at the suggestion of Don Airey of Deep Purple, during a recent visit to Dario’s home.

“I think this record has a strong identity and character,” tells Dario. “It is a mature production and the songs range on many styles of hard rock and classic heavy metal, but every song has a catchy chorus. I also think this album shows how much I liked working with Carl. He is easily one of the best singers I have ever worked with. I am certain our cooperation will not end with this cd!” concludes Dario. The quality of the material presented here is witness to that statement.

“Rock the Cradle” tracklisting:

1. Red

2. Take Me High

3. Navigation

5. Gates Of Time

Eternal Idol is a new band formed in early 2016 and that marks the start of a new musical adventure for Rhapsody Of Fire and Angra singer Fabio Lione, together with the experienced Italian guitar player Nick Savio (exHOLLOW HAZE Official Page) and a line-up completed by the young vocal rising star Giorgia Colleluori, Camillo Colleluori (both also from Hollow Haze) on drums and Andrea Buratto (Secret Sphere, Hell in the Club) on bass.

Musically, ETERNAL IDOL offer an intriguing mix of classic metal, symphonic rock and a few progressive twists which is truly unique, thanks to the combination of female and male vocals.”

The album was recorded in the summer of 2016, produced by Nick Savio and mixed by Simone Mularoni (DGM, Sunstorm) and promises to be one of the melodic metal releases of the year. Fans of Kamelot, Magnus Karlsson’s Free Fall, MasterPlan, and Avantasia should pay attention.

Oh Captive drop new video and stand alone single

Rising Bristol post-punk quartet ‘Oh Captive’ have nationally unleashed their debut EP ‘Advance Creature’ and they now charge forward with their brand new stand alone video single ‘Tricking Us’ on Monday 12th May, view it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-MwVnpTwbY

Hailing from the South West, Oh Captive produce innovative music that rails against the din of predictability and still rings true with compelling clarity. Sparking glowing comparisons to the likes of Coheed & Cambria and Twin Atlantic, Oh Captive have crafted a sound of their own.

Originally formed less than two years ago, Oh Captive cut their teeth with countless hours in grimy rehearsal rooms before BBC Devon Introducing beckoned in early 2013. By the year’s end, Oh Captive had shared stages across the UK with Sonic Boom Six, Straight Lines, Max Raptor, Sharks, Blitz Kidz, I Divide and Scholars. The foursome fully honed their songs in the live arena in anticipation for completing a debut EP that would prove to startle and sparkle in equal measure.

The post-punk outfit have just released their debut EP ‘Advanced Creature’, which has already picked up widespread national praise. Big Cheese Magazine have featured the band in their April 2014 issue with an exclusive interview and Rocksound have recently reviewed the record and have placed a track on their covermount CD. The EP has already notched up key online and radio support, notably from XFM. Now with their brand new stand alone single in the shape of ‘Tricking Us’ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-MwVnpTwbY ), which is out on 12th May , the foursome are set to hit new heights, and with UK shows in the pipeline throughout the year, just watch them soar.

Rising female-fronted Brit metal crew ‘Zoltar Speaks’ have just released their explosive debut album ‘Save As I Save’ and now the melodic metallers set loose their new video single ‘Nothing In The World’ on Monday 12th May.

Pulling from everyone from the likes of Avenged Sevenfold and Iron Maiden to Coheed and Cambria, Zoltar Speaks are here to shake your world with a sound that merges both fiery and majestic vocals with hearty riffs and elephantine choruses.

Formed in 2009 and bursting out of the rural plains of Somerset, Zoltar Speaks are fronted by enigmatic vocalist Louise Body, with Ben Dean hammering at the drums, Simon Roocroft providing the backbone on bass, and Daniel Pratt and Jason Coles shredding it up on the guitars. The unstoppable five-piece have built up an army of dedicated followers fuelled by extensive touring throughout Southern England and Wales where they notched up supports with Idiom and Malefice. Metallica confirm Glastonbury and Sonisphere apperances

Metallica have added one more show to their European summer tour.   They had made no secret of the fact that there was still one live music festival on their wish list that had eluded them . . . until now!  It is with a great deal of pride that they announce they will be headlining the Pyramid Stage at  Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, June 28th!  The band said “There is such a vibe at Glastonbury and it’s maybe the most quintessentially English festival, so when we finally got that call to visit Worthy Farm, we just had to reply with a resounding “YES!” “Glastonbury is the largest green field festival in the world and over the forty plus years of its existence, a widely diverse group of artists have graced the stage including Paul McCartney, Oasis, David Bowie, U2, Muse, Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, Neil Young, Jay-Z and so many more.  We’re psyched and honored to be among the first hard rock bands to hit the Pyramid Stage and join this prestigious group.”  Michael Eavis commented  “Metallica are one of the most popular bands in the world! And they really are a phenomenal live act. This a band that can sell out stadiums in pretty much every country on the planet. From Newlyn to Newcastle on my travels, all through the years, people keep asking me, “When are Metallica going to play?” There’s a huge swathe of people who love Metallica to bits and just think they’re absolutely amazing. They’re worthy headliners!

As previously announced the band will also make a welcome return to the Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth House on Sunday July 6th.  As a special tribute to their fans, the multi-platinum award-winning band has introduced “Metallica By Request”, the ultimate interactive concert experience.

Fans who purchase tickets online will be invited to vote on the songs Metallica will play at the show – giving them the chance to help build their dream set list from 30+ years of Metallica’s material and close to 140 recorded songs to date. Metallica’s traditional 18-song set will include the 17 top voted songs and, as the band did not want to be left out of the fun, they get to vote for the 18th slot, which will be a brand new song. Visit http://www.metallica.com for more details on the voting process.

The band confirmed the Glastonbury appearance will not be a “By Request” night, “guess we’ll have to go back to writing the set list ourselves!  For those of you looking for the By Request show or a second dose of ‘Tallica, we will be just down the road a week later at Knebworth for Sonisphere Festival on July 6th, which we thought might be our only chance to visit the U.K. this summer until the Glastonbury call came in last week.  Hope to see you at both!”

Their latest album, Death Magnetic, was certified platinum just six weeks after it debuted atop the Billboard Top 200 Album chart in October 2008. Death Magnetic charted at #1 in 32 countries. Metallica have also garnered numerous awards and accolades, including nine Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, multiple MTV Video Music Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. Metallica Through The Never was the first feature film to be released exclusively by IMAX in all of its theaters. The film was released on DVD, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, digitally, and V.O.D. Stryper Frontman Michael Sweet Releases “Heart Of Gold” Solo Video

On the eve of Michael Sweet’s new solo album ‘I’m Not Your Suicide’ and book ‘Honestly: My Life And Stryper Revealed’, the Stryper frontman has released a video for “Heart Of Gold”. The cover version of the Neil Young classic features Sweet doing a duet with Dave Mustaine’s daughter Electra.

With the upcoming and long-overdue solo album, Sweet is finally delivering the project fans have been patiently waiting for. Self-produced, ‘I’m Not Your Suicide’ includes special appearances by Tony Harnell (TNT), Kevin Max (dcTalk, Audio Adrenaline), Chris Jericho (Fozzy), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake), Electra Mustaine (daughter of Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine) and Stryper bandmates Robert Sweet and Timothy Gaines. Legendary drummer Kenny Aronoff played on the record as well.

Sweet is best known as the singer, guitarist, songwriter and producer for Christian rock pioneers Stryper, selling over 10 million albums worldwide. In addition to Stryper, Sweet has had a successful solo career, and he served as the guitarist and co-vocalist for the legendary classic rock band Boston from 2007 to 2011. The future remains bright for a man who has endured heartbreaking tribulations throughout his life and career, including the 2009 passing of his wife of more than 22 years, Kyle. In 2010, Sweet remarried to Lisa Champagne-Sweet, a woman he describes as, “a Godsend and the one who fits perfectly by my side.” Sweet continues to record and tour with Stryper, as well as touring and recording as a solo artist.

S.U.N. Supergroup Release ‘Nomad’ EP

Rock supergroup Something Unto Nothing (S.U.N.) — featuring multi-platinum Canadian vocalist and Juno Award winner Sass Jordan, guitarist Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Ozzy Osbourne), bassist Michael Devin (Whitesnake, Kenny Wayne Shepherd) and drummer Tommy Stewart (Godsmack, Lo Pro, Everclear, Fuel) — has released a follow-up single and video for “Nomad (Rock Radio Edit)” along with three new songs on Robo Records.

The ‘Nomad EP’ features a new Rock Radio version of the single “Nomad”. The EP also features two stunning cover songs of core classic rock artists, the Neil Young classic “Hey Hey My My” and a live acoustic guitar version of Paul McCartney’s monster piano ballad “Maybe I’m Amazed” — “one of the best songs ever written” according to Tichy and Jordan. The other new song on the EP is the explosive “Going Going Gone”. Tichy describes it as “all melody and power chords. It’s old Journey meets Joe Walsh”, he also adds “and the snare drum sounds killer!”

S.U.N. released their debut album ‘Something Unto Nothing’ to rave reviews in 2013. According to Sass Jordan, “S.U.N. is currently working on our sophomore release. We’ve already completed about 6 songs, but have decided to release this EP in the meantime, due to popular demand.”

The band is grateful for all the support and positive feedback. “All of us in S.U.N. are psyched the album and new EP are both available in stores and that we have been getting great reviews from the media and fans alike,” says Tichy. “You would have thought we were paying people to write this stuff! I had to ask Sass if she was mailing out checks for all these great words of support and high accolades!”

‘Nomad EP’ track listing:
1. Nomad (Rock Radio Edit)
2. Hey Hey My My (Into The Black)
3. Going Going Gone
4. Maybe I’m Amazed (Sass Jordan & Brian Tichy – Live Acoustic Stomp)

White Lion Frontman Mike Tramp Announces U.S. Tour Dates

White Lion Frontman Mike Tramp Announces U.S. Tour Dates

White Lion and Freak Of Nature frontman Mike Tramp has announced his return to the U.S., set for the spring of 2014. Tramp will be performing White Lion classics as well and new material off of his brand new record ‘Cobblestone Street’.

The tour will kick-off on March 19th in Hollywood, California at the legendary Whisky A Go Go and continue into May — including an extended stay on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise.

Tramp’s ‘Cobblestone Street’ is a departure from the sound that most people would expect from a singer, that has been around since White Lion crashed on to the hard rock scene in the ’80s. Rock fans have gotten to know Mike Tramp as a legit rock singer and frontman that looked like he was born to be just that. Therefore many might find it surprising that Tramp’s roots and musical upbringing lie deeply buried in folk music.

Heavily influenced by fellow Danish artists with acoustic guitars and international stars like Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen, Tramp says that all of his songs through 35 years on the music stage have always come from sitting with the old faithful acoustic guitar playing and singing. That White Lion songs like “When The Children Cry”, “Broken Heart” and “Wait”, and Freak Of Nature’s “Rescue Me” later have ended up as epic rock classics is just a question of arranging them in that way with the band in the rehearsal room, but all songs have always been fit to play around the campfire or in the back of a shady bar.

Despite playing White Lion songs live, Tramp gets tired of reunion questions. “When I say there isn’t going to be any White Lion reunion, why is it so damn hard to understand?”, Tramp said early last year. “We don’t want to play together and I personally don’t want to do that kind of stuff anymore. In 20 years I have not spoken to Vito (Bratta, guitarist) more than possibly 5-6 hours. It’s a fact, just let it be. What has Vito done since White Lion’s break up 9/2/91? Nothing… Doesn’t that speak loud and clear? Why would you want to marry the person who you divorced long ago or hang out with the kid who bullied you all through your high school years, just as an example?”

Tramp also told Sleaze Roxx in an interview that his idea to bring back White Lion several years ago was a complete mistake. “The reason I broke up with the band was because I was done with it. The reason you file for divorce is because the love is gone — you get tired of it. But I needed to do it to find out I’d made the mistake. I made the decision when I was on tour for my second solo album, and when you’re playing to like 25 people and when people are goading you and saying “Oh, if you put White Lion back together you’d play festivals and make big bucks’…”
