HUSH Return With ‘Department Of Faith’ For Lion’s Pride Music

Lions Pride Music is happy to announce the signing of Norwigan melodic rockers Hush, for their brand new up and coming 4th album, Department Of Faith, which will be released on December 12.HUSH made a stir within the melodic rock community with the release of the debut “If You Smile” back in 1998. The album sold well in Europe (AOR Heaven) and Japan (JVC/Victor) and was filled with catchy arena rock anthems. The sophomore cd, simply entitled “II”, emerged in 2001 on Now & Then (UK) and the Italian label Frontiers Records. It was a natural step further for Hush, yet without moving away from the style from the debut.

Both records were very well received all over the world. The third release, ‘Mirage’ (2006) (Raido Music) won over new fans with a different and more modern approach.

Hush is currently putting the final touch to their brand new studio album entitled, Department Of Faith, which have already spin of 2 singles so far, Black Ice, & Hold On.

The band is also planning to hit the road for touring in support of the new album and once again reconnect with their fans worldwide.
The Hush band members now includes founding members Kenneth Kristiansen (guitars/keyboards), Patrick Simonsen (vocals/guitars), Knut Dalbakk (bass), Thorleif Ostmoe (keyboards/vocals) and Antonio Torner (drums/vocals).

One On One With Mitch Lafon – DORO

Vocalist Doro Pesch guests on Ep. 261 of One On One With Mitch Lafon.

LINK TO INTERVIEW: http://www.spreaker.com/user/talkingmetal/1on1-mitch-lafon-261-doro

In the show’s only interview, Doro discusses her upcoming US tour, her Rock Carnival appearance, working with producer/songwriter Jack Ponti, has she ever considered quitting the music business, Uli Jon Roth, Blaze Bayley & her latest release ‘Strong & Proud – 30 Years Of Rock And Metal’ and a lot more.

Quotes from the interview:

Working with producer/songwriter Jack Ponti (time 6.09): “We hit it off right away. We loved each other right away.”

(Time 7.47): “I learnt a lot from him, but you know I think he learned something from me. It was great chemistry.”

On has she thought of quitting (time 11.33): “Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. You have to hang in there when times are not on your side – in the ’90s when grunge was so big and shovelled metal to the side and it was hard, but I was like ‘ok, I play smaller venues. It doesn’t matter.’ There will still enough metal heads/ die hard fans there to keep going.”

New album (18.12): ‘Now we are in the making of a new record and I hope it will come out next year. We have already five songs – one is dedicated to Lemmy. It’s called Living Life To The Fullest.”

TERRA NOVA – Reinvent Yourself ($10 DIVE-IN DEAL)

Reinvent Yourself is the 6th studio album of the Dutch band Terra Nova. In 1996 their highly acclaimed debut album Livin´ It Up was launched. After that the albums Break Away in 1997 and Make My Day in 1999 followed.
After the first three albums the band had to split up due to a conflict with their Dutch record company.
Fred, Ron and Gesuino continued under the name Aquila and released two albums: Say Yeah 2001 and Man With A Mission 2004.
In 2004 the band was free from their contractual obligations towards their Dutch record company and signed a record deal with Frontiers Records.
The first album after their break was Escape released 2005 followed by the album Come Alive 2010.
In 2007 Fred, Ron, Gesuino and two woman: Esther Brouns and Anita Craenmehr got together as Two Of A Kind and released a superb album Two Of A Kind.
End of 2013 the Reinvent Yourself album was written by Fred and recorded and mixed during 2014. During 2014 the band and their record label Frontiers had different views on which direction the album should take. This resulted in Terra Nova moving on with their album without a record company.
In 2015 Terra Nova was signed by Melodic Rock Records for the world and King Records for Japan.
The album Reinvent Yourself is about trying to improve yourself over and over again. It´s a process of finding a better version of yourself. Trying to take it to the highest level.

THUNDER announce 2017 UK tour

Live Nation is proud to announce that the mighty Thunder will be undertaking a UK tour in March 2017. Tickets are on sale from 0900 on 23 September 2016 from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk. These hotly anticipated dates will of course be packed with many of the hits from the band’s stellar history, but also tracks from their follow up to the 2015 Top Ten hit album ‘Wonder Days‘, which was described by Classic Rock as, “Brilliant…a massive reminder that class is both timeless and incandescent“. The as-yet-untitled album is due to be released in February 2017.

Since forming in 1989, the Londoners have established themselves among the UK’s most consistent attractions, notching up some twenty Top Fifty singles and cultivating a well-deserved reputation as consummate live performers. Having been feted by Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith and Whitesnake’s David Coverdale, their first two albums, ‘Back Street Symphony’ (1990) and ‘Laughing On Judgement Day’ (1992), both were certified Gold in the UK. With a lineage dating back to the cream of British hard rock – Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, The Who and Deep Purple – and songwriting greats such as the Kinks, The Beatles and The Faces, the band’s sound is a timeless marriage of unforgettable melodies and sheer rock power.

Frontman Danny Bowes said, “After the arena shows in 2015 and 2016, we decided when we played the UK again, it would be great to take it back to where people live, and this is our longest UK tour for years. We’re looking forward to playing in theatres again, and of course the new album will be out by then, so I’ll be relying on the fans to learn all the words, mostly so they can remind me when I muck them up”.

Thunder are now bigger, better and more popular than ever before, Guitar & Bass called them simply, “One of the finest British rock bands around”. Thunder guarantee a good night for all, with their heady blend of uncompromising rock and roll, musicianship, great songs and showmanship; these shows are unmissable.

Kane Roberts signs to Frontiers Records for the release of his new solo album in 2017

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of KANE ROBERTS to the label for the release of his next solo album, sometime in 2017.

Kane says, “Once you strap on a guitar and make the hard coded decision to play music in the face of everything you know and don’t know, you find that “the life” (of a musician) has its way with you no matter what and WILL tear you up if you try and wander too far away. I may have stepped into other enterprises and projects, but I was never far from the jet stream that I was lucky enough to have been a part of in the 80s and 90s. Now, because of the new songs inside of me, my guitar and the fans I’m in contact with, I know the creative fire will burn me down if I don’t step back inside the flames. I believe the people at Frontiers Music Srl also feel that creative heat, the need to be an integral part of the music industry (their output is resoundingly prolific) and I don’t know of a better place for me to record and release my new album.

Over the last few years the songs, the messages, and the fans have been burning a hole on my insides. This new album has been gearing up for a while and the songs and messages I’ll be forging will emerge from the fire.

Sorry it took me so long, all kinds of life happened that will definitely find it’s way onto the record and yeah, I’m gonna hit this one hard.”

Kane has recorded a total of four solo albums so far (also including the Phoenix Down project released on Frontiers in the late 90’s). Kane’s name and abilities first came to prominence on Alice Cooper’s “Constrictor” album, which was soon followed by his self-titled debut solo album in 1987. More albums and tours with Alice followed, making Kane a well known face in the business especially for his guitar skills, but also for his body-builder image and his now iconic machine-gun guitar.

As a solo recording artist, he has landed a few Top 40 hits and his varied musical background includes recording, writing and touring with artists such as Rod Stewart, Alice Cooper, Desmond Child, KISS, Diane Warren, Alice in Chains, Berlin, Guns N’ Roses, Garland Jeffries and more. He’s also written or recorded music for films like Light Sleeper, Penelope Spheeris’ Decline of Western Civilization, Friday the 13th IV Jason Lives, John Carpenter’s Prince of Darkness, and more. In 1991, his second solo album, “Saints and Sinners” for Geffen Records included the Top 40 Billboard hit “Does Anybody Really Fall In Love Anymore?”, originally written by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora.

Steel Panther sign deal for scripted comedy series

It is no secret that Steel Panther deliver most likely the best combination of comedy and heavy metal music in a concert setting, and now the band is on the verge of having its own scripted comedy series on television.

steel-panther-photoThe following was reported by C21Media (with slight edit):

Canadian producer Media Ranch is developing a scripted comedy series about US comedy glam-rock band Steel Panther.

The project comes out of an exclusive worldwide linear TV and digital rights deal signed by Media Ranch and the band.

The series, which will be distributed globally by LA-based GRB Entertainment, will follow the sex, drugs and rock ’n’ roll-fuelled lives of vocalist Michael Starr, lead guitarist Satchel, drummer Stix Zadinia and bassist Lexxi Foxx.

Between sell-out concerts, the band will also jet over to next month’sMipcom in France, where they will perform an exclusive VIP acoustic show to invited television executives.

Steel Panther is the perfect band to make the transition to TV. They’re unapologetically and hilariously irreverent. Their popularity transcends all age groups because their music is great. Steel Panther is in a class on its own,” said Media Ranch president Sophie Ferron.

“They’ve been joined on stage by the likes of Miley Cyrus, Steven Tyler, Kelly Clarkson and many others so you can bet on many cameos by their celebrity friends in our series.”

ANGUS YOUNG CONFIRMS AC/DC WILL CONTINUE WITH AXL AND NEW BASS PLAYER

ac dc

According to news circulating in Brazil, which we believe to be legitimate, AC/DC are to thankfully continue with Axl Rose on vocals and a new bass player after long standing four-stringer player Cliff Williams played his last gig with the band on Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Respected Brazilian journalist José Norberto Flesch, who we know has had contact with AC/DC, has made comments on Twitter indicating that Angus Young will hire new musicians and that Axl will continue as frontman, as we expected.

Flesch wrote (translated from Portuguese):

“AC/DC will not end… Angus will hire musicians to play with him and with his cousin… Axl will also continue in AC/DC.”

And in a separate report, Flesch wrote:

“He [Angus] will hire new musicians, and Axl Rose will continue as vocalist.

“Axl and Angus are also rumored to want to record new AC/DC material following Guns N’ Roses’ ‘Not In This Lifetime’ world tour.”

Brazilian station 89 A Radio Rock, the biggest rock radio station in São Paulo and possibly in Brazil, are running the report as factual and we’ve been saying for months here at MetalTalk that this would happen.

Our man in the AC/DC camp is still sleeping off his end of tour party hangover but MetalTalk’s Brazilian correspondent, Fernando Souza, has been busy investigating and translating all day and we’re more than satisfied that we will be seeing a new AC/DC album in 2017 or 2018 and that we’ll be once again riding the rock’n’roll train soon enough.

And now it’s all but confirmed, we’re taking friendly bets on who the new AC/DC bass player will be. Click here to see who our leading three contenders are and to watch Cliff’s farewell to the fans, as well as Angus’ thank you video at the end of the Rock Or Bust World Tour.

For those about to rock – it’s a long way to the top but it ain’t a bad place to be…

LA GUNS is Once Again TRACII GUNS & PHIL LEWIS

Frontiers Music Srl is delighted to welcome the reunion of Tracii Guns And Phil Lewis as L.A. GUNS to the label for the release of a brand new album set for release in the summer of 2017.After a nearly 15 year break, Philip Lewis and Tracii Guns are back together for another chapter in their partnership that began in 1986, four years after Tracii formed L.A. Guns in 1982.

Their writing partnership spawned classic L.A. GUNS songs such as ‘Sex Action’, ‘Never Enough’, ‘Electric Gypsy’, “The Ballad Of Jayne”, and countless more in an impressive catalog of fan favorites. The last time Lewis and Guns joined forces was back in 2000 with legendary producer Andy Johns for the making of what would become ‘Waking The Dead’ – an album that went on to receive tremendous critical acclaim and proved that their musical partnership was every bit as strong as the early days with all-killer-no-filler songs including ‘Don’t Look At Me That Way’, ‘Hellraisers Ball’, and ‘The Ballad’.

“I think we owe it to our fans who have stuck with us during the many ups and downs of the band’s long and checkered career,” says Lewis. “Tracii and I have written the songs to the soundtrack of many people’s lives, and I think it’s definitely worth investigating to see if the magic is still there.”

As for Guns, he’s been compiling song ideas over the last year and promises this one will be one of the band’s heaviest records, simply stating, “It’s good to be home.”

The band has already confirmed a bunch of UK shows in early 2017 and two shows at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA with more surprises to be announced soon!
