Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis reunite LA Guns and release new album in 2017

Frontiers Music Srl is delighted to welcome the reunion of Tracii Guns And Phil Lewis as L.A. GUNS to the label for the release of a brand new album set for release in the summer of 2017.

After a nearly 15 year break, Philip Lewis and Tracii Guns are back together for another chapter in their partnership that began in 1986, four years after Tracii formed L.A. Guns in 1982.

Their writing partnership spawned classic L.A. GUNS songs such as “Sex Action”, “Never Enough”, “Electric Gypsy”, “The Ballad Of Jayne”, and countless more in an impressive catalog of fan favorites. The last time Lewis and Guns joined forces was back in 2000 with legendary producer Andy Johns for the making of what would become “Waking The Dead” – an album that went on to receive tremendous critical acclaim and proved that their musical partnership was every bit as strong as the early days with all-killer-no-filler songs including “Don’t Look At Me That Way”, “Hellraisers Ball”, and “The Ballad”.

“I think we owe it to our fans who have stuck with us during the many ups and downs of the band’s long and checkered career,” says Lewis. “Tracii and I have written the songs to the soundtrack of many people’s lives, and I think it’s definitely worth investigating to see if the magic is still there.”

As for Guns, he’s been compiling song ideas over the last year and promises this one will be one of the band’s heaviest records, simply stating, “It’s good to be home.”

The band has already confirmed a bunch of UK shows in early 2017 and two shows at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA with more surprises to be announced soon!

Seven – ‘Fight’ official music video

“Fight”, is taken from SEVEN’s new album Shattered, which is released today (September 23rd), by UK label Escape Music Ltd. “Fight” was co-written with well known songwriter Jeff Paris (Mr. Big, Vixen, Y&T, Paul Stanley).

The roots of SEVEN can be traced back to the late ’80s/early ’90s in South Africa, of all places. At the time, Keith McFarlane and the brothers Simon and John LeFevre were in a band called FACE TO FACE, while Mick Devine was drummer in another band, called UC27. After releasing several singles and one album in a period of 18 months, FACE TO FACE split and the brothers LeFevre returned to the U.K. After a few months, they decided to reform the band and Mick was asked to join them in the U.K. as their drummer. It wasn’t before long that the brothers discovered that Mick was actually a better singer than drummer, and so Mick became the band’s lead vocalist. A couple of years later, they were joined by Pat Davey on bass and Austin Lane on drums and the band name was changed to SEVEN.

The AOR scene in the late eighties was a thriving hive of activity. At the turn of the new decade, the likes of Mitch Malloy, Paul Laine, FIREHOUSE, TYKETTO and TALISMAN were all signed up and ready to make an impact on the genre. Everybody wanted an AOR band, and Polydor Records was no exception. Having been fairly successful in the U.K with the likes of MAGNUM and LITTLE ANGELS, the label had set their sights on SEVEN, which at the time was a relatively unknown act from Bournemouth.

SEVEN toured extensively supporting an eclectic variety of acts that included the likes of Jason Donovan, Richard Marx, THE MONKEES and BROTHER BEYOND. It’s a time period that Mick Devine is keen to reminisce about. “Even though they were out and out pop gigs, we loved the crowds and the noise,” he says. “We went from pubs to opening to 3000 screaming fans in Southampton. It is a very addictive adrenaline rush. We got to play all the top venues, which were fantastic — including Wembley Arena, the NEC, BIC, SEC and even the Royal Albert Hall. The Richard Marx tour was definitely the best for us with a more grown up audience we were able to rock it up and truly be ourselves. It went down really well!”

With John Parr as producer, they recorded two very strong singles in the shape of “Inside Love” and “Man With A Vision”, both of which achieved moderate success in the U.K.

In 2014, the original bass player Pat Davey was working alongside Robert Hart on an Escape Music album when the name SEVEN cropped up in the conversation. It would seem that Khalil Turk was a big fan, as Devine explains. “Yeah, back in the day, Khalil had really loved the band and he got in touch to see if we would be interested in finally releasing an album,” he says. Without too much convincing, the project was born.

The production talents of Lars Chriss (the LION’S SHARE guitarist whose repertoire includes albums with Steve Overland, Chris Ousey, LUGNET, NIVA and RADIOACTIVE) were enlisted to produce the band’s debut album, called “7”, which was released to critical acclaim and was held up as one of the “albums of the year” on many lists.

Following the success of the first album, a passion was rekindled within Devine and McFarlane, who began work on new material, and along with the writing talents of Lars Chriss, Fredrik Bergh (BLOODBOUND, ROB MORATTI, STREET TALK), Andy Loos (LION’S SHARE, GLORY, CHRIS OUSEY), Kay Backlund (LION’S SHARE, NIVA) and Jeff Paris (MR. BIG, Y&T, VIXEN, RADIOACTIVE), that passion was given focus and a place to come to life. What they discovered was a well of untapped creativity that had been hidden for far too long and the songs poured out.

SEVEN’s “Shattered” is a collection of wonderfully catchy songs that rely on clean and memorable melodies that allow Devine’s distinctive voice to shine through. It was Devine who took the lead in writing the lyrics on this album, matching the intensity and feel of the music to deliver a modern melodic rock album with influences ranging from hints of FOREIGNER in “A Better Life” and “Broken Dream”, JOURNEY in “High Hopes” and even traces of MAGNUM in “Light Of 1000 Eyes” and “Last Illusion”. The lyrical themes are drawn from a depth of life experience and observations and are heartfelt and real. The production talents of Chriss and the lineup of truly great musicians, deliver an album of depth and variation which ranges from driving guitar-led tracks with memorable riffs to melodic anthems, all backed by stunning keys, bass and standout solos. It is an album that is a worthy follow-up to the critically acclaimed “7”.

Hevidence release debut album ‘Nobody’s Fault’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl announces the release of Hevidence’s debut album, “Nobody’s Fault” on December 2, 2016.

Hevidence is the brainchild of Italian guitar player Diego Reali, founding member of Italian Prog Metal masters DGM. After he left the band in 2006, he started dabbling in some different musical styles, but his heart called for him to get back to metal! Thus Hevidence were born and Diego joined up with DGM bass player Andrea Arcangeli, singer Corrado Quoiani and drummer Emiliano Bonini.

“This band is highly inspired by the classic hard and heavy sounds from the ’70s and ’80s, that’s why we worked hard to make this album sound the most vintage that was possible,” tells Diego. “We are convinced that a huge dose of improvisation during the recording sessions is needed for the success of an original product. Everyone of us has many different musical influences and they came out in a very spontaneous way within the song writing process, we just believe in the word “ROCK”!!!”

Hevidence offer a mature and personal vision of hard rock and metal with a style reminiscent of the classic Official Yngwie Malmsteen albums mixed with power metal and melodic hard rock influences (think early Europe).

An EPK where you can learn more about the band and hear song samples is here:https://youtu.be/TDzEVFY27Yc

The band will be launching the album with a special “Release Party” show in Roma at the JAILBREAK LiveClub on December 1st. For more info:http://www.jailbreakliveclub.it/

Dario Mollo’s Crossbones unleash ‘Rock The Cradle’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of Dario Mollo’s CROSSBONES new album, “Rock the Cradle” on December 2nd.

Best known for his partnerships in the The Cage with Tony Martin (ex-Black Sabbath) and Voodoo Hill with Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion, Deep Purple, California Breed), Italian guitarist Dario Mollo began his career in 1981 with the band CROSSBONES. With them, he released his first studio album in 1989, which was produced by Kit Woolven (Thin Lizzy Official, MAGNUM and UFO, among others) before getting involved in the production side of things himself.

For this new CROSSBONES album, the Italian axeman brought back original drummer, Ezio Secomandi with the line-up completed by his regular collaborator Dario Patti on bass and keyboards. The choice for the singer was Carl Sentance (Nazareth, Don Airey Band, Persian Risk, KROKUSonline), who came at the suggestion of Don Airey of Deep Purple, during a recent visit to Dario’s home.

“I think this record has a strong identity and character,” tells Dario. “It is a mature production and the songs range on many styles of hard rock and classic heavy metal, but every song has a catchy chorus. I also think this album shows how much I liked working with Carl. He is easily one of the best singers I have ever worked with. I am certain our cooperation will not end with this cd!” concludes Dario. The quality of the material presented here is witness to that statement.

“Rock the Cradle” tracklisting:

1. Red

2. Take Me High

3. Navigation

4. Rock The Cradle

5. Gates Of Time

6. I Got This Feeling

7. In My Blood

8. Running From The Shadow

“After the release of “Sacrificium” we embarked on our longest Tour so far. Over 150 shows that took us around the globe. Through so many different countries and diverse cultures. Through so many different, yet inspiring dimensions. We brought back plenty of memories, sometimes just bits and pieces, but those stuck to our heads. And it made us see who we are and where we wanted to take our music. Made us fearless. Made us push our boundaries once more. Made us cross some so-called genre defining borders. Made us bundle all our trademarks and take them to the next level. All this makes the most colourful Xandria album so far. It contains our most heavy and most emotional moments. Manowar’s ‘Kings Of Metal MMXIV’ Silver Edition Cd Will Now Be Released On March 21 2014

manowar

The ‘Kings Of Metal MMXIV’ Silver Edition CD, featuring 2 discs and two 24-page booklets will now be released in retail and in Manowar’s own online stores, http://www.thekingdomofsteel.com and http://www.thekingdomofsteel.eu on March 21, 2014.

Both online stores will also offer exclusive Power Packages, containing the CD and brand new merchandise, not available anywhere else and only for a short time.

The digital album is already available on iTunes and on Google Play worldwide. “The ‘Kings Of Metal MMXIV’ Silver Edition CD is a limited edition. It is important to us that every Manowar fan that has decided to own this collector’s item at the time of its release has a chance to find it in the store of their choice. Due to strong pre-orders we have increased our initial order and we decided to change the release date, so that all stores get the music at the same time, and every fan has a fair chance to get one of these limited edition CDs,” said a label representative.

Manowar’s ‘Kings Of Metal MMXIV’ is a completely new recording, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their iconic 1988 album ‘Kings Of Metal’ and their following world tour.

While staying true to the 1988 version, ‘Kings Of Metal MMXIV’ captures the listener with new arrangements and other new elements, and with stellar vocal performances by Eric Adams, powerful drums by Donnie Hamzik, a searing new guitar sound by virtuoso Karl Logan and a new record-breaking performance of the bass solo “The Sting Of The Bumblebee MMXIV,” played at 300 beats per minute by Joey DeMaio.

“This is an entirely new recording as far as the music goes,” explained bassist and producer Joey DeMaio about the album. “Everything has been newly recorded. A tremendous amount of work and effort has gone into this new album, on all levels, and you will hear this when you listen to it.”

Already a significant force with international success since their debut album ‘Battle Hymns’, the ‘Kings of Metal’ release in 1988 and the following world tour in 1989 catapulted Manowar into a new sphere.

Songs like: “Heart Of Steel”, “Kings Of Metal”, “Hail And Kill”, and “Blood Of The Kings” became instant classics celebrated since by Metal fans all over the world.

“We started talking about the 25th anniversary of the album’s release, and how it could be done in a very special way. We love these songs as much as our fans do. So we started discussing the idea of a new recording which would allow for a fresh and massive sound, and added new elements,” explained Joey DeMaio. “And then the idea of the anniversary tour was born, to celebrate this album in an appropriate way. Live, with our fans!” he added.

“We have pushed man and machine to the maximum to honor the original recordings and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Everything sounds bigger, for once due to the ability to cram more sound onto a record than we could in the past. Because technology has gotten better; as well as the equipment we are using, from the guitar strings and the guitar pick ups to pre-amps, to the microphones and the recording process. Technology has progressed so much! The result is massive!”

With “Hail And Kill MMXIV” and the title track “Kings Of Metal MMXIV,” the album starts with the power and might synonymous to Metal fans all over the world with the name Manowar.

The power ballad “The Heart Of Steel MMXIV” is featured in 3 different versions: Acoustic Intro, Guitar Instrumental and Orchestral Intro Version, the last two being bonus tracks. “Thy Kingdom Come MMXIV” is, in the best sense, inspiring.

For the spoken word track “A Warrior’s Prayer MMXIV”, Manowar joined forces with celebrated British actor Brian Blessed, a renowned Shakespeare and character actor who has starred in, among others, Kenneth Brannagh’s “Henry V”, Oliver Stone’s “Alexander” and as Prince Vultan in the cult movie “Flash Gordon”. Not only an actor and adventurer, Blessed was also awarded the “Spirit of Hammer Award” for his contributions to Heavy Metal.

For the sound design on the track, the band recruited Hamilton Sterling, a Hollywood veteran who has contributed to numerous action blockbusters including “Batman – The Dark Knight”, “War of the Worlds”, and “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World”, two of which won Oscars for Best Sound Editing.

“Thy Crown And Thy Ring MMXIV”, Manowar’s signature concert outro, is majestic both as Orchestral Version and as Metal Version (featured as bonus track), while “The Blood Of The Kings MMXIV,” now with additional new lyrics, is a salute to all countries that Manowar has performed in to this day. The tracks are further highlights on an album that bursts with energy and might.

“On Wheels Of Fire MMXIV” concludes the main album’s tracks in the most forceful and propulsive way possible.

Fantasy artist and longtime collaborator Ken Kelly contributed two new cover paintings that feature, as a continuation of his 1988 works, the flags of all countries that Manowar have performed in to this date, or are confirmed to visit during their current world tour.

The ‘Kings Of Metal MMXIV’ Silver Edition, that Break Out Magazine in Germany calls “a new masterpiece” features 9 main and 9 bonus tracks with a total running time of 88 minutes.

“Kings Of Metal MMXIV, the album and the tour, will be a completely new experience, even for fans that have celebrated our shows and listened to these songs many times before,” promised Joey DeMaio. “Get ready to get your heads blown off!”

Manowar’s new world tour, featuring the performance of the new ‘Kings Of Metal MMXIV’ album in full and many other classics in a new multi-media stage show, started on February 8, 2014 with a long-anticipated U.S. tour and will resume on March 18 in Europe.

Manowar Overcome Major Problems As World Tour Kicks Off

les fest

Manowar found themselves fighting the world this weekend as they kicked off the first leg of the Kings Of Metal MMXIV World Tour.

The opening gig was due to be held in The Royal Oak Theatre in Detroit but late in the day the promoter cancelled the show for reasons that are still being looked into.

The band, with the help of the Chicago promoters, made sure that fans from Detroit got to Chicago and they arrived in large numbers, just as the roof of the Concord Music Hall venue caved in meaning there was no way Saturday’s gig was going ahead.

Joey DeMaio somehow managed to organise an alternative venue. This was an extraordinary feat and the Manowar crew worked like trojans to make sure the show went ahead.

Trouble is, with so many fans turning up from Detroit there wasn’t enough capacity in the new venue and some fans got turned away. The band have issued a statement about this which you can read below.

Sunday’s performance in Minneapolis went ahead without any problems and the band now have three days downtime before resuming the tour in Atlanta on Thursday.

Here’s the band’s statement about fans being turned away from the Chicago show:

“We are sorry for those Manowarriors who made the trip from Detroit yesterday, but could not get into the show last night.

“We were not the promoters of these shows and therefore had no control over the events. We had asked the promoters in Chicago to support us in helping our fans from Detroit and they agreed, for which we applaud them.

“Due to the unforeseeable issues at Concord Music Hall a move to a smaller venue at shortest notice required some changes and made it impossible for the promoters to let everybody in as planned.

“We are glad a solution could be found on such short notice to play the show last night. We are very sorry that it was not possible for some of you to get in.

“Those who had a ticket for Detroit and could not get into the Chicago show, please send an email to sales@magiccirclemusic.com with subject line ‘Detroit SOS.’ You will be contacted ASAP.

“Thank you for your faith and loyalty!

“Those with tickets for the Chicago show who could not get in, please contact the promoter of the show, Riot Fest. Also: MANOWAR will return to Chicago on Nov, 15. More details will follow.”

Despite the difficulties the band received plaudits for the Chicago performance with Facebook likes increasing by thousands overnight. Here’s a selection of some of the comments the band received:

Vladimir Valchev

What an amazing show that was, MANOWAR! Finally getting to experience Kings of Metal Live – it was the very first metal album I listen to as a kid and it introduced me to the glory of metal. Being able to see this with my dad as my personal way of thanking me for raising me to good music was amazing. As a Bulgarian fan I also truly appreciate your inclusion of my nation’s flag on your covers and the videos – it really shows that you care for all of your fans.

Joey DeMaio’s speech was legendary.

The tribute display during “Heart of Steel” (MY FAVORITE SONG!) made me cry.

Ruxia Sandru

Congrats to band, road crew & office for getting so gracefully through such solicitating day, and beating all odds with this show Wishing you swift & powerful sailing through rest of US dates!

ddie Knappenberger

I can’t begin to tell you how much that concert meant to my family and I! The upset to my boys when they heard Royal Oak was cancelled only to be completely redeemed in Chicago!

“My sons stood proud in the front row watching as you guys made sure they knew you saw them. Thank you so much for handing the boys the drumsticks.

“On top of the huge bag of swag, this was the absolute most amazing time! November 15th is the boys birthday! Ugh! What is a father to do?

Thanks again brothers!
