Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis reunite LA Guns and release new album in 2017

Frontiers Music Srl is delighted to welcome the reunion of Tracii Guns And Phil Lewis as L.A. GUNS to the label for the release of a brand new album set for release in the summer of 2017.

After a nearly 15 year break, Philip Lewis and Tracii Guns are back together for another chapter in their partnership that began in 1986, four years after Tracii formed L.A. Guns in 1982.

Their writing partnership spawned classic L.A. GUNS songs such as “Sex Action”, “Never Enough”, “Electric Gypsy”, “The Ballad Of Jayne”, and countless more in an impressive catalog of fan favorites. The last time Lewis and Guns joined forces was back in 2000 with legendary producer Andy Johns for the making of what would become “Waking The Dead” – an album that went on to receive tremendous critical acclaim and proved that their musical partnership was every bit as strong as the early days with all-killer-no-filler songs including “Don’t Look At Me That Way”, “Hellraisers Ball”, and “The Ballad”.

“I think we owe it to our fans who have stuck with us during the many ups and downs of the band’s long and checkered career,” says Lewis. “Tracii and I have written the songs to the soundtrack of many people’s lives, and I think it’s definitely worth investigating to see if the magic is still there.”

As for Guns, he’s been compiling song ideas over the last year and promises this one will be one of the band’s heaviest records, simply stating, “It’s good to be home.”

The band has already confirmed a bunch of UK shows in early 2017 and two shows at the legendary Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA with more surprises to be announced soon!

Seven – ‘Fight’ official music video

“Fight”, is taken from SEVEN’s new album Shattered, which is released today (September 23rd), by UK label Escape Music Ltd. “Fight” was co-written with well known songwriter Jeff Paris (Mr. Big, Vixen, Y&T, Paul Stanley).

The roots of SEVEN can be traced back to the late ’80s/early ’90s in South Africa, of all places. At the time, Keith McFarlane and the brothers Simon and John LeFevre were in a band called FACE TO FACE, while Mick Devine was drummer in another band, called UC27. After releasing several singles and one album in a period of 18 months, FACE TO FACE split and the brothers LeFevre returned to the U.K. After a few months, they decided to reform the band and Mick was asked to join them in the U.K. as their drummer. It wasn’t before long that the brothers discovered that Mick was actually a better singer than drummer, and so Mick became the band’s lead vocalist. A couple of years later, they were joined by Pat Davey on bass and Austin Lane on drums and the band name was changed to SEVEN.

The AOR scene in the late eighties was a thriving hive of activity. At the turn of the new decade, the likes of Mitch Malloy, Paul Laine, FIREHOUSE, TYKETTO and TALISMAN were all signed up and ready to make an impact on the genre. Everybody wanted an AOR band, and Polydor Records was no exception. Having been fairly successful in the U.K with the likes of MAGNUM and LITTLE ANGELS, the label had set their sights on SEVEN, which at the time was a relatively unknown act from Bournemouth.

SEVEN toured extensively supporting an eclectic variety of acts that included the likes of Jason Donovan, Richard Marx, THE MONKEES and BROTHER BEYOND. It’s a time period that Mick Devine is keen to reminisce about. “Even though they were out and out pop gigs, we loved the crowds and the noise,” he says. “We went from pubs to opening to 3000 screaming fans in Southampton. It is a very addictive adrenaline rush. We got to play all the top venues, which were fantastic — including Wembley Arena, the NEC, BIC, SEC and even the Royal Albert Hall. The Richard Marx tour was definitely the best for us with a more grown up audience we were able to rock it up and truly be ourselves. It went down really well!”

With John Parr as producer, they recorded two very strong singles in the shape of “Inside Love” and “Man With A Vision”, both of which achieved moderate success in the U.K.

In 2014, the original bass player Pat Davey was working alongside Robert Hart on an Escape Music album when the name SEVEN cropped up in the conversation. It would seem that Khalil Turk was a big fan, as Devine explains. “Yeah, back in the day, Khalil had really loved the band and he got in touch to see if we would be interested in finally releasing an album,” he says. Without too much convincing, the project was born.

The production talents of Lars Chriss (the LION’S SHARE guitarist whose repertoire includes albums with Steve Overland, Chris Ousey, LUGNET, NIVA and RADIOACTIVE) were enlisted to produce the band’s debut album, called “7”, which was released to critical acclaim and was held up as one of the “albums of the year” on many lists.

Following the success of the first album, a passion was rekindled within Devine and McFarlane, who began work on new material, and along with the writing talents of Lars Chriss, Fredrik Bergh (BLOODBOUND, ROB MORATTI, STREET TALK), Andy Loos (LION’S SHARE, GLORY, CHRIS OUSEY), Kay Backlund (LION’S SHARE, NIVA) and Jeff Paris (MR. BIG, Y&T, VIXEN, RADIOACTIVE), that passion was given focus and a place to come to life. What they discovered was a well of untapped creativity that had been hidden for far too long and the songs poured out.

SEVEN’s “Shattered” is a collection of wonderfully catchy songs that rely on clean and memorable melodies that allow Devine’s distinctive voice to shine through. It was Devine who took the lead in writing the lyrics on this album, matching the intensity and feel of the music to deliver a modern melodic rock album with influences ranging from hints of FOREIGNER in “A Better Life” and “Broken Dream”, JOURNEY in “High Hopes” and even traces of MAGNUM in “Light Of 1000 Eyes” and “Last Illusion”. The lyrical themes are drawn from a depth of life experience and observations and are heartfelt and real. The production talents of Chriss and the lineup of truly great musicians, deliver an album of depth and variation which ranges from driving guitar-led tracks with memorable riffs to melodic anthems, all backed by stunning keys, bass and standout solos. It is an album that is a worthy follow-up to the critically acclaimed “7”.

Hevidence release debut album ‘Nobody’s Fault’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl announces the release of Hevidence’s debut album, “Nobody’s Fault” on December 2, 2016.

Hevidence is the brainchild of Italian guitar player Diego Reali, founding member of Italian Prog Metal masters DGM. After he left the band in 2006, he started dabbling in some different musical styles, but his heart called for him to get back to metal! Thus Hevidence were born and Diego joined up with DGM bass player Andrea Arcangeli, singer Corrado Quoiani and drummer Emiliano Bonini.

“This band is highly inspired by the classic hard and heavy sounds from the ’70s and ’80s, that’s why we worked hard to make this album sound the most vintage that was possible,” tells Diego. “We are convinced that a huge dose of improvisation during the recording sessions is needed for the success of an original product. Everyone of us has many different musical influences and they came out in a very spontaneous way within the song writing process, we just believe in the word “ROCK”!!!”

Hevidence offer a mature and personal vision of hard rock and metal with a style reminiscent of the classic Official Yngwie Malmsteen albums mixed with power metal and melodic hard rock influences (think early Europe).

An EPK where you can learn more about the band and hear song samples is here:https://youtu.be/TDzEVFY27Yc

The band will be launching the album with a special “Release Party” show in Roma at the JAILBREAK LiveClub on December 1st. For more info:http://www.jailbreakliveclub.it/

Dario Mollo’s Crossbones unleash ‘Rock The Cradle’ in December

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the release of Dario Mollo’s CROSSBONES new album, “Rock the Cradle” on December 2nd.

Best known for his partnerships in the The Cage with Tony Martin (ex-Black Sabbath) and Voodoo Hill with Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion, Deep Purple, California Breed), Italian guitarist Dario Mollo began his career in 1981 with the band CROSSBONES. With them, he released his first studio album in 1989, which was produced by Kit Woolven (Thin Lizzy Official, MAGNUM and UFO, among others) before getting involved in the production side of things himself.

For this new CROSSBONES album, the Italian axeman brought back original drummer, Ezio Secomandi with the line-up completed by his regular collaborator Dario Patti on bass and keyboards. The choice for the singer was Carl Sentance (Nazareth, Don Airey Band, Persian Risk, KROKUSonline), who came at the suggestion of Don Airey of Deep Purple, during a recent visit to Dario’s home.

“I think this record has a strong identity and character,” tells Dario. “It is a mature production and the songs range on many styles of hard rock and classic heavy metal, but every song has a catchy chorus. I also think this album shows how much I liked working with Carl. He is easily one of the best singers I have ever worked with. I am certain our cooperation will not end with this cd!” concludes Dario. The quality of the material presented here is witness to that statement.

“Rock the Cradle” tracklisting:

1. Red

2. Take Me High

3. Navigation

4. Rock The Cradle

5. Gates Of Time

6. I Got This Feeling

7. In My Blood

8. Running From The Shadow

“After the release of “Sacrificium” we embarked on our longest Tour so far. Over 150 shows that took us around the globe. Through so many different countries and diverse cultures. Through so many different, yet inspiring dimensions. We brought back plenty of memories, sometimes just bits and pieces, but those stuck to our heads. And it made us see who we are and where we wanted to take our music. Made us fearless. Made us push our boundaries once more. Made us cross some so-called genre defining borders. Made us bundle all our trademarks and take them to the next level. All this makes the most colourful Xandria album so far. It contains our most heavy and most emotional moments. LEGENDARY HIT MAKERS THE BABYS FIRST ALBUM IN 30 YEARS JUNE 24:
New York, NY (May 5, 2014)With a string of ’70s classic rock radio hits like “Isn’t It Time,” “Every Time I Think of You,” “Head First,” “Back on My Feet Again,” “Midnight Rendezvous” and “Turn and Walk Away,” The Babys created some of the most memorable arena anthems of the era. Now, after a three-decade absence, The Babys have reformed with original lead guitarist Wally Stocker and drummer Tony Brock to release a new album, I’ll Have Some of That, on June 24, and a brand-new single, “I See You There,” which is available now on iTunes. The Babys’ new album will be released on Skyrocket Ent./All In Time Records.
“The whole premise is to keep The Babys alive and have a good time doing it,” said Stocker about the reformed group, which also includes new recruits, lead vocalist/ bassist John Bisaha and veteran rhythm guitarist Joey Sykes. The band is joined in concert by keyboardistFrancesco Saglietti and the Babettes.
Brock raves about the new members of the group: “John Bisaha is an incredible singer. When we held auditions, we had singers lined up around the block to join the band and John was head and shoulders above the rest.” Stocker is equally enthused about his new axe mate:“Joey Sykes adds a whole new dimension to the band and has a style that works well in tandem with me.”

Formed in London in 1974, The Babys were signed to Chrysalis Records on the basis of a four-song video, which predated the MTV era by seven years. Combining the muscular rock ‘n’ roll grit of Free and Humble Pie with a winning commercial accessibility, The Babys released five albums between 1977-1980 (The Babys, Broken Heart, Head First, Union Jacks and On the Edge). During that time, the group toured with the likes of Journey, Alice Cooper and Cheap Trick and built a loyal following based on their spectacular songs and explosive live performances right up until disbanding in December of 1980.
Former members John Waite, Jonathan Cain and Ricky Phillips have all given their blessings to the newest incarnation of the band. Waite continues on as a solo act, while Cain is now a member of Journey, having penned a string of hit singles including “Don’t Stop Believing,” the most downloaded song in history. Phillips is a longtime bass player for Styx.

The first single from the album, the aptly titled “Not Ready to Say Goodbye,” was made available on iTunes last November, with a sound reminiscent of both “Isn’t It Time” and “Every Time I Think of You.” “In recording this new album, we discussed the fact that the songs had to have the flavor of what we were known for,” says Stocker. “It was just a magical process,” adds Brock. “By the time we finished, I knew we had the goods.”
After the break-up of The Babys, drummer Brock became a member of Rod Stewart’s band, and also played with Jeff Beck and Bernie Taupin, among others. He founded the Silver Dreams Studios (www.silverdreamsstudios.com) near Los Angeles, where he produced hit records for Jimmy Barnes, among others. London native Stocker left home at 15 in pursuit of his rock ‘n’ roll destiny and never looked back. After The Babys, he played with Rod Stewart, Air Supply and Humble Pie.

New vocalist/bassist Bisaha evokes the memories of John Waite, but also brings a new touch, making the songs his own. He joined The Babys at their first comeback performance last July. New York native Sykes, who has had stints in various bands, as well as a publishing association with Warner/Chappell, has penned the first single “I See You There.” The Babys embarked on a string of shows in Las Vegas, San Diego, Portland and Seattle last November and December, and plan on announcing an extensive slate of tour dates around the June 24 release of I’ll Have Some of That.

AXEL KRUSE LEAVES JADED HEART:
While Jaded Heart are in the studio, recording their new album (release date: September 26), we received the news that drummer and founding member Axel Kruse leaves the band after 23 years.
“After careful consideration and with a heavy heart, I have decided to leave Jaded Heart after 23 years. This decision has already been in my head for a while, and I want to make it very clear that it has nothing to do with the other guys in the band personally. I simply felt that I had come to a point where I should draw a line and restart my career. I will still play in Mad Max, and I will keep you informed about news on possible involvements in other new projects. Thanx for the great support over all the years to everyone involved, especially all the Jaded Heart fans out there! See ya again soon… “

Hollywood Monsters are the brainchild of vocalist, guitarist, composer, Stйphane “Steph” Honde, a French expatriate, who’s been living in California since 2012. Honde first became noticed when fronting Mamooth, subsequently garnering a well-deserved reputation as a guitar virtuoso when playing in Cafй Bertrand, a French rock group he joined in 2004. The band toured, playing humongous stadiums such as the Stade de France, with an audience capacity in excess of 80.000 – performing with classic rock giants such as AC/DC and Deep Purple, the latter for whom they opened on thirty-six dates across Europe in November 2006, and another 12 in March of 2007.Honde recorded two albums with Cafй Bertrand – both critically acclaimed and commercially successful – “Les Airs Empruntйs” (2005) and “L’Art Dйlicat du Rock’N’Roll” (2008), before leaving the band in 2011.
Honde then embarked on a length tour with Paul Di’Anno, original vocalist with Iron Maiden before absconding to California. Once in Los Angeles Stйphane Honde befriended Tim Bogert, coaxed him out of retirement and convinced Bogert to play on his debut album…and voilа, the Hollywood Monsters were born. Stйphane Honde recently signed an agreement with Mausoleum Records for the release of the debut album entitled “Big Trouble” by his new band: Hollywood Monsters, scheduled for release in May 2014.
The talented Hollywood Monsters line-up on “Big Trouble,” besides Tim Bogert (Vanilla Fudge, Cactus – on bass, additionally welcomes the performances of some more of Stйphane’s talented pals, including: Don Airey (Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Michael Schenker and dozens more – on keyboards), and Vinnie Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath– on drums), the latter for whom Stйphane had written the song “Village Of The Damned” as an homage…before ever meeting Vinnie!

The Decibel Geek Podcast has released the fifth installment of it’s Vinnie Vincent Special with Episode 135 – Vinnie Vincent Special Part 5 w/Andre Labelle.
In this in-depth discussion, hosts Aaron Camaro and Chris Czynszak are joined by former Vinnie Vincent and current drummer of The Sky Andre LaBelle. Andre was tapped by Vincent for the recording of the still-unreleased Guitars from Hell album that was in production from 1989 – 1992. LaBelle shares his memories of auditioning for the enigmatic former Kiss guitarist, the amazing amount of equipment available, and the meticulous recording techniques that seemed to define Vincent as the extremist of which he has been described.
The album went through numerous titles during production. In this long-form discussion, LaBelle recalls a period where Vincent was bouncing between projects; his own and his contribution at the time to Kiss’ upcoming 1992 release and how one of his titles plays into KISStory.
Other topics discussed in this episode include Vinnie’s method for punching in his guitar parts in the studio as well as how budgets were stretched and tensions caused a break from Vincent’s then-label Enigma; causing the project to be shelved to this day.

Bonafide Frontman Pontus Snibb Releases Solo Video

Pontus Snibb’s new blues based solo album ‘Wreck Of Blues’ is about to be released and the Bonafide frontman has posted a video for the single “More Blues And Blue Sounds”.

No one can ever say Pontus Snibb is laid back, if hes not bouncing about Europe heading up Bonafide or skin thumping with Jason & The Scorchers, we now see he’s managed to set aside time to write and record a new solo blues rock project aptly named ‘Wreck Of Blues’. And what a stunning album it is, with some old school blues ‘n’ swamp rock riffage combined with a very modern rock production and Pontus’s signature voice, this effort has bits of Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and ZZ Top all through it,

Pontus Snibb’s take on it, “Well here it is, another chapter in my musical career, but something I’ve been meaning to lay down for some time now. I’ve been into the whole blues vibe since I was a kid and if I’m honest, it will probably be that sort of riff that will be getting played when I stop doing what I’m doing. When I finally got round to doing this, the tracks were the easy bit as I’ve had most of them in storage for sometime, but as you know, I never stop writing. The musicianship was essential and after doing over 2000 shows with Hakan Nyberg (aka DAD) I couldn’t think of anyone else I’d rather have as part of my rhythm section, he’s taken care of the skins and the low end rumble comes from my bass soulmate, Micke Nilsson. The end result is pleasing as it really represents the passion I have for this genre, but as the great Albert King used to say… Blues Power… can you dig it?”

The album will be released digitally and physically through Off Yer Rocka Records and there will be four special appearances to mark the launch, before Snibb heads out on the European Blues circuit to promote the album.

Meanhwile, Bonafide recently released a star-studded video fo their latest single “Rock ‘N’ Roll Skal”. Taken from the Swedish band’s latest album ‘Bombo’, released in September of 2013 via Off Yer Rocka, the video features guest appearances by Airbourne’s Joel O’Keeffe, The Georgia Satellites’ Dan Baird, The Scams, Thundermother, ’77, Ryan Roxie, Chips K, Fatal Smile, Grant Foster and many more.

Guitar lovers, prepare yourselves for a live music feast: Jeff Beck and ZZ Top are going on tour together this summer.

Although they hail from geographically far-flung locations, the U.K.-born Beck and his Texas-bred tourmates are a match that makes perfect musical sense.

Beck, who will be touring in advance of his upcoming new studio LP, referred to ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons as “the Professor of Grunge” and added, “Ever since ‘Eliminator,’ I thought it would be great to play with ZZ Top.”

Gibbons returned the compliment, adding, “Ever since experiencing ‘Jeff’s Boogie,’ the prospect of performance with Jeff Beck on the deck brings us into focus with the curator of crunch.”

New Album “Very Important” To Jeff Beck

Jeff Beck

For much of Jeff Beck‘s career, recording has often appeared to take a lower priority than, say, working on vintage cars. However, he admits that his upcoming record — his first since 2010′s ‘Emotion & Commotion’ — is “a very important album for me.”

“I’ve worked, worked, worked for the last three years,” he told Rolling Stone. “Now is the time really. My [70th] birthday is coming up [in June], if you get me. I thought it was time for a really, really good studio album I had control over and time to do properly instead of a budget problem. Even though I do have budget problems!”

Beck is hoping to have the album, currently in the process of “mixing, overdubbing and aligning stuff – all the crap you have to do with ProTools,” out by the time his world tour begins on April 4 in Tokyo. He also cut some sessions with Brian Wilson before they toured together last year. The status of that project remains up in the air, which confounds Beck.

“As far as I know, they made a mistake by grabbing me for a tour and opening up the floodgates for a tour prematurely instead of finishing the tracks,” he continued. “And so we left the studio with half-finished tracks – three, four tracks I was supposed to be on and they’re still unfinished. And to me it was a bit stupid because they should have done the album, had a killer album, and then gone out on the road. But I think they wanted to grab me while I was still available. That’s about it.”

And while the concept of Wilson-Beck collaboration still seems like a mismatch, he admits that a tour with Jimmy Page, with whom he played in the Yardbirds for a few months in 1966, would be ideal, provided Page could be pinned down for long enough to do it

“He appears at the most unlikely events and then disappears again,” Beck continued. “He’s a dark horse, there’s no doubt. He’s got a completely private side to him as I have. But we have such a great laugh when we’re together and if he ever comes up for grabs, then it’d make a good package. But one wonders what he’d play. What would he play? I don’t know. He’d have to have the music sorted out and then we’d work.”
