Guns N’ Roses Announce More Details for 3D Concert Movie

Titled ‘Appetite for Democracy 3D,’ the upcoming movie was filmed during the band’s 2012 residency at the Joint in the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas, and came during a run of dates in which GNR were celebrating “twenty-five years of ‘Appetite for Destruction‘ and four years of ‘Chinese Democracy.‘” Calling the performances an “absolute ambush on the city of sin,” the ‘Appetite for Democracy 3D’ website promises the movie will put the viewer “in the best seat in the house for an electrifying once in a lifetime live concert performance.”

Although no date has been announced for either the DVD/Blu-ray release or what seems to be a planned theatrical run, fans can register to order ‘Appetite’ at the site and sign up to be emailed when the movie comes to their city. Guns N’ Roses has confirmed a second Las Vegas residency, after weeks of conjecture. Axl Rose and company will perform over nine days in May and June at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

The concert, dubbed ‘No Trickery!: An Evening of Destruction,’ follows a series of well-received 2012 shows at the same venue. USA Today reports that show dates will be May 21, 24, 25, 28, 30 and 31 and June 4, 6 and 7. Tickets, which start at $49.50, go on sale Friday. For further details, go to HardRockHotel.com or GunsNRoses.com.

GNR’s DJ Ashba most recently discussed this string of shows, though no official word was out. The Hard Rock sparked initial rumors when an image with the GNR logo and the message “COMING SPRING 2014″ popped up on its Facebook page. A billboard followed, building anticipation.

Guns N’ Roses has already announced spring dates in South America. That tour kicks off on March 16 at Mexico City’s Hell and Heaven Metal Festival, before moving on to seven shows in Brazil, a show in Argentina and then a closing date in Paraguay. This Las Vegas residency will follow GNR’s previously confirmed appearance at Rock on the Range, which runs from May 16-18.
